At IT'S YOUR MOVE we provide a rental service of reusable plastic boxes, crates, containers and totes for residential home and commercial office moves.

I DON'T GET IT. WHY BOTHER? IT'S JUST AN ADDED EXPENSE.

Our aim is to basically change how people handle their home of office moving by providing an environmentally friendly alternative via the use of reusable plastic boxes, crates and totes. We ensure that by using our products and service for your next move it will be more efficient, convenient and more affordable than using traditional cardboard boxes.

HOW COME I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS BEFORE?

Although the use of reusable containers has been the norm in Europe for decades it is relatively new to Canada. There are several companies which have similar services in the US, albeit commercial moves. It's Your Move is one of the first companies in Canada to offer this service to residential clients.

  2. We deliver them to your door.
  3. You Pack, You Move, You unpack.
  4. Call us when you are done and we come to pick them up.

HOW DO I KNOW HOW MANY CONTAINERS I NEED?

We have included an online estimation page. In addition, you may also view our How Many Do I Need section, to assist in your assessment. Everyone's needs are different. We have found however, that many clients under estimate. You only realize how much stuff you have until the time comes for you to pack it all.

WILL YOU COME TO MY HOUSE TO ESTIMATE HOW MANY I NEED?

Unfortunately no, the estimation process is up to you. We do however have weekly drop off and pickups so if you find yourself short don't hesitate to call, we would be glad to drop off whatever you need.

DOES IT'S YOUR MOVE OFFER DIFFERENT SIZE BOXES & CONTAINERS?

Yes, our primary line is an industrial grade 75 litre plastic boxes and crate which works with an accompanying dolly. We also offer totes and wardrobe containers.

CAN YOU GUARANTEE THAT MY BELONGINGS WILL BE PROTECTED?

There's no guarantee but making use of these products in consistency with our moving tips and user guide should help address this issue.

WHERE DOES IT'S YOUR MOVE DELIVER TO AND PICK UP FROM?

It's Your Move services the Greater Vancouver and Lower Mainland including; Abbotsford, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Delta, Ladner, Langley, Maple Ridge, New Westminster, North Vancouver, Pitt Meadows, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Richmond, Surrey, Tsawwassen, Vancouver, West Vancouver and White Rock. 

Pricing includes delivery and pickup on all order totalling $75 and up. Delivery to area such as; Chilliwack, Lions Bay and Furry Creek, MAY be available with notice, additional delivery/pickup fees will apply. Call (604)835-7225 or email to find out more.

Online estimation requests can be completed by you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by visiting our online estimation page, or book online. If your request is received outside of the noted business hours, we will respond to your request the following day.

Delivery times are scheduled to suite your convenience, based on availability.

HOW MUCH DOES THE MOVING BOX SERVICES COST?

Box and equipment rentals are calculated on a 30 day rental term. Some products are as low as 16 cents a day, that is less than half the price of purchasing new boxes and will save you time. IS THERE A DELIVERY CHARGE FOR THE BOXES?

Delivery and pick up are included in our package deals or any custom made packages totaling a minimum of $75.00. We will charge $25.00 if you stand us up or require a last minute delivery of further product. In most instances if you are able to wait until the following delivery date the $25.00 secondary delivery charge can be waived.

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR DELIVERY?

For liability/insurance purposes we kindly ask that all deliveries and pickups to townhouses and detached homes be destined to a carport or garage area. In cases of apartments we would request an open area within the suite suitable to accommodate the moving supplies as delivered via a dolly.

 

CAN I PICK UP AND DROP THEM OFF MYSELF?

No, our service is available exclusivley through delivery.


IS THERE A RENTAL DEPOSIT

The rental will be billed to your credit card (Visa or Mastercard) at time of booking. In the event of cancellation, a $25 fee will be charged to your credit card. Any rental equipment that is not returned or that is damaged during your rental will be charged to your credit card automatically.

WHY IS THERE A MINIMUM 30 DAY RENTAL TERM?

We have found that the 30 day term has proven the most accurate amount of time required by our clients. This provides us the opportunity to take advanced bookings. If you are interested in extending the 30 day rental agreement, please contact us and we will try our best to accomodate.

CAN I SAVE MONEY BY HAVING THEM PICKED UP BEFORE 30 DAYS?

The 30 day rental rate is a fixed price. When you are unpacked contact us via phone or email to schedule pickup of your moving supplies.

 

WHAT ARE MY PAYMENT OPTIONS?

We accept Visa and MasterCard, your card will be billed at time of booking.

CAN I PURCHASE THE EQUIPMENT RATHER THAN RENTING THEM?

No, IT'S YOUR MOVE moving crates and totes are for rental purposes only.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DAMAGE OR LOOSE THE RENTAL EQUIPMENT?

Your credit card security deposit will be charged with the repairs or replacement of any rental equipment that is damaged or lost during your rental.

  • 75 Litre box / crate replacements cost $55.00
  • 202 litre box /crate replacements cost $40.00
  • Wardrobe units cost $60.00
  • Flat furniture dollies cost $100.00
  • Crate dollies cost $100.00
  • Convert dollies cost $100.00
  • Metal file racks $10.00
  • Door guards cost $25.00

WHAT IF I NEED TO EXTEND MY RENTAL TERM?

If you need to extend your rental term simply give IT'S YOUR MOVE a call at 604-835-PACK(7225) and we will make every effort to accommodate your request. Please provide us with as much notice as possible to facilitate your request. Late charges are applicable as follows: Days 1 - 2, $15.00 per day; Days 3 - 4, $25.00 per day; Days 5 - 10, $40.00 per day. 

CAN I HAVE THE RENTALS PICKED UP EARLY?

WHAT ARE THE RESTRICTIONS ON ACCEPTING COMPETITORS COUPONS?

It's Your Move will accept competitors coupons. Conditions: Competitor must provide a similar product/service, Coupon must be not be expired, Minimum order of $100.00, Limit of one coupon per customer per move, Not applicable with any other offer, Client must move within the Lower Mainland. Coupon must be presented at time of delivery. All valid coupons will be accepted with the exception of pre-paid Daily Deals or Team Buy coupons/offers, such as; Groupon, WagJag, SwarmJam, etc.
